RSL fans, a quick update on Seattle
OK, I know it is crazy and many of you are in panic mode of how to get to Seattle, how to get tickets, and where to stay. That is to be expected, here is what I know so far.
Seattle has opened up more seats to sell, they are in the upper deck. I know that isn’t perfect but remember that they included this in their season ticket package. I know that they are working on a couple sections for RSL fans and those details should be announced later today or on Monday. If you want better seats, try ebay or stubhub, but check all of them out, when I looked this morning there were some great seats at a great price but they are spread out all over the place. There are also people trying to make a small fortune on tickets as is to be expected. You each will have to make up your own minds.
I have been in touch with Bill Manning and he is working on some things with the league and Jet Blue, and I am sure hotels and such. I would look for some package deals and other details again later today or early on Monday. Remember this guy planned a trip for Eagles fans to a SuperBowl, and while we are much more passionate, I have a lot of faith that the RSL staff will be able to work something cool for us.
The team is coming back into town in about an hour so I am getting ready to go get some comments, take some pictures and celebrate what was a great match last night.
I will post more later today, but for now I am

Wish I could make it to the airport.
I’ll be there next weekend though.
Just need game tickets now… Still holding out to see if we can get in with a large group of RSL supporters.

If I could get game tickets and a flight back late Sunday night to SLC so I could make it to work Monday morning then I’d 100% go for sure. I just can’t miss work.
It’s going to be a good game. I hope I get a chance to attend. Hopefully Jet Blue puts together a flight or two for the fans so they can get us there and back on Sunday!

I am holding out for a travel package. I hope holding out for RSL to put together a package will include tickets/flight/lodging.

I think anything RSL puts together will be in the 300 level. Those seats aren’t very good. They are fine for American Football, but that is a heck of a long way up there. I used to sit in similar seats when I attended Sounders games in the Kingdome and I couldn’t even see the ball. It kind of sucked.
I just want a Sunday morning flight and a late Sunday night flight and I’ll get my own tickets on Stubhub. Come on Jet Blue. Make it happen. Charter a plane for us and get us there at like 9 AM on Sunday and get us home at like 1 AM on Monday morning. That’s all I ask!

Me,
I can understand your situation but I would say the vast majority of fans would want to be there at least a day before the match and not want to try to leave a match and rush to the airport but rather stay overnight.
If it happens great but I wouldn’t epxect it. For most fans sitting together is more important than a great view of the match. That is what DVR’s are for. It would have been nice if they had saved something better for the teams competing in the match but I understand their selling the match as part of their season tickets too.
hope to see you all there
