No Time Change

Well the powers that be (somewhere in MLS HQ) have decided not to allow RSL to change their match time on Saturday to 2pm, so we are locked into that 4pm start time.  make sure to get your tickets now and let’s do our best to give the team a huge boost of energy as they look to establish a lead in the series and hopefully can hang 4 goals on Columbus like we did last time they came to Rio Tinto.

Further evidence that the MLS front office is full of mentally challenged individuals. They just flat out don’t get it. Morons.

I would have loved to attend this game. Thanks for nothing Don Garber. You are officially an even bigger idiot than I thought…. and that is quite large.

Yeah I am a bit confused by this, if you release a schedule on Monday and teams start selling tickets and then you start letting teams change their schedules you should let all of them make changes.

This one actually had some issues to do with local TV coverage in Columbus at 2pm our time, so I am not sure if all the fault should be on Garber or not. It sure makes things a pain with the holiday, but part of it is that RSL doesn’t want to play on Sundays.

I would have liked to see a Friday Night match honestly, but with the weather forcast it looks like Saturday afternoon should be good weather but the late time will likely mean a small crowd.

I just like blaming Garber for things, because I think he’s a tool. Haha.

I can’t understand the tv deal if it is being shown on MLS Direct Kick. Does Columbus get to show it on local tv still? I thought local tv didn’t get rights to playoff games, or is that just RSL’s ridiculously crappy tv deal? I guess it is probably better for RSL that they have such a bad TV deal or they’d probably have even less people at the games. For many of us, it is our only shot of even seeing a game so we are forced into buying seats. I can’t ditch my kids for trick-or-treating though. My six year old has been talking about it for 10 months. I wish I could take him to the game and just enjoy that… but it doesn’t look like it will happen. I’ll hit the streets with him and we’ll have a blast, but I sure would have loved to have seen this game. Nice work MLS. You wanks.

The only time I don’t think there is local coverage for the playoffs is when it is on a national network(ESPN2 or FSC)The RSL match will on 2.2 or 111 or whatever it is.

Nice thing is that next year two things will happen, every MLS match will be broadcast in HD (this make sme really happy) and RSL will be on 2.2 or some variety that will be available on all the providers (directtv, dish, and comcast). Me if you really want to hit the match and bring the kid, let me know I have two tickets I will give you (they are in section 8 by a family with other kids), no charge they are some of my season tickets that I never use and the person who I thought might want them for tomorrow already has tickets. So post on here and let me know how to get in touch with you and you can have them

according to Teresa, RSL will have “buttloads” of candy to give out tomorrow, and then you can still make it home to hit up the neighbors.
