Real Salt Lake Season Ticket Package

So recently there has been some talk on the blogosphere about how organizations treat their season ticket holders and I thought I would share how Real Salt Lake has done this year. First off RSL held an event at Rio Tinto Stadium for season ticket holders to stop out and pick up their tickets, this event was last Saturday and featured free sandwiches, hot dogs, drinks, and tours of the stadium. The event was held in Club Real:

and the tour included the RSL team store:

and even the suite of RSL owner Dave Checketts:

and to the dismay of many fans with tickets in the South End the stadium staff is working on removing rows of seats to see how to accommodate the many concerts coming this spring and summer:

So in addition to the event, there are the tickets itself:

(better pictures coming soon)
along with your actual tickets for the 15 home matches, you get a RSL/MLS All Star Scarf (still being designed), and a ticket to the 2009 MLS All Star match, a 25% discount at the Team Store (no more increased discounts for having season tickets multiple years), a meet the team event, group discount rates for any additional RSL match ticket purchases. All of this can be yours starting at just $300.

Now there are a number of people who were upset that they didn’t get the sheet of tickets pictured above, there is a reason, any tickets changed or ordered within the last 6 weeks (the time it took to get the tickets from the printers) got normal printed tickets. I can say that RSL is looking into doing a reprint for those who didn’t get the collectible set of tickets (I will pass along any updates as I get them) according to Kris Katseanes RSL’s Director of Ticket Sales.

I can say the event was a little chaotic, due to the huge turnout, but overall I was impressed with the event despite the hiccups.
