For the Record

So once again I am using my lunch break at work to post a quick response to what I find to be the humorous nature of both RSLFM and her reaction to comments. So the great advocate of free speech, once again tries to belittle people who comment by bringing up issues that she really does not know much about.
Refunds for the Galaxy Match, has a single team issued any kind of refund for a LA Galaxy match because Beckham is hurt, no not a single MLS team has done so. No not a single MLS team should offer a refund; players get hurt, they get red cards, things happen. Would you expect Larry Miller to offer a refund because Shaq got hurt, no not a single fan would expect a refund. But please continue to tell people that you’re offering a neutral perspective on RSL. Good Grief. If the facts were known RSL has done everything in their power to work with the Galaxy to get David to make the trip to Salt Lake and do some type of appearance at the match, but if you only want to see bad, then that is all you will see.
A good article about Beck’s imapct on MLS From the SL Tribune, a decent read.
Peter Mellor’s messy dismissal, what was messy about it. A new coach, made a change in one of his assistants, it really is very normal and happens in every sport. Is Peter a great guy, sure he is but Jason wanted someone of his own choosing. By the way did Nick Rimando play better in the matches with Mellor as the GK coach, or since then?
Bad Faith negotiations with impoverished African FA’s, I have to assume that she is speaking about the inability of the Liberian national team to pull their heads out, first time they fail to file the correct paperwork and RSLFM puts the blame on RSL for this. This last time they filed the paperwork but failed to provide the Visa needed for Willis to travel, once again their fault but according to some all of this is the fault of the RSL FO, plain and simple lies and untruths.
MLS rule violations, wow a guys calls a friend about a potential job and gets fined for it. A mistake, yes, but an intentional violation, no you can instead chalk it up to a brand new coach making a mistake. Ask yourself where was the advice of John Ellinger, or other members of the old coaching staff on this matter? Then the comment about Shalrie Joseph, that is not Jason’s fault, it actually is mine. I did not know that coach’s were not allowed to talk about specific players on other teams, when I asked him on a radio show if a player like Shalrie would be a good fit on our squad. A great defensive midfielder, it was a question about what is still a weakness in the RSL lineup. But again, some would make this offense out to be some huge conspiracy of the FO and Jason to interfere with the Revolution.
Publicly blaming players for losses, every coach has laid blame for losses on players in the case in question where Jason called out Jamie Watson, I disagree with his evaluation but it is his right as coach to do so. It may be poor taste but to label it as dishonest is just again an attempt to throw mud.
Have the first couple of months with Jason at the helm gone well, no but can all that blame be put on him. Of course not, the organization still is lacking a General Manager, a President, has been operating on a shoestring budget (due to stadium construction costs), but we have also seen the team get some exciting young talent, the 3 Amigo’s, Beckerman, Findley, Sturgis. It looks like a team is being built for the future, something Chivas did last year and look at their success this season. I think trying to accuse RSL of playing some version of “bunker ball” shows that you have not been paying attention to the last several matches. Against Houston, we simply got out played by their offense but continued to attack, not sure how you would classify that as bunker ball, but hey why not. In DC we played a totally aggressive style of attack and counter attack that provided a incredible match to watch, shame is we did not finish as well as we should have but I would never be embarrassed by the way we played against them. The TFC match, we had to play very defensive at the start of the match, since Toronto launched their offensive from the sound of the whistle. By the time we had settled down and began to play a more offensive/ counter attacking style, the Red card came out and the match changed into a very ugly defensive effort by RSL, but was it “Bunker Ball”, not really a team down a player will almost always have to play a much more defensive style in order to try and get a result.
Sorry, but once again I see a bunch of sour grapes and not much else. Shame is everyone knows that the effort and honesty should be better.
