Ok, I have to admit I was bored today, I watched the Italian match earlier today, I have watched the RSL victory over KC again, played a little FIFA07 on my xbox 360, followed by some Call of Duty 4 (I love life as a beta tester). Anyhow in otherwise less than exciting day, I wondered over to your site and I have to admit, it really made me remember why I am going back on the RSLFM wagon. Your echoing of typical negative headlines, was simply humorous. So wait, the LA keeper makes a mistake, we take advantage of it but no credit for our players seeing a trend and taking advantage of it, nope let’s focus on how it was a mistake. What is even funnier is that the article by James Edward, actually was a decently positive piece with many good things to say about Eddie Pope, why is it they continue to write decent articles but start them with negative headlines (think about last weeks article on Robbie, or the previous weeks article on Rimando). Oh well what else can we expect?
Decent coverage of some of the blogs around, but what is your rant about the uniform debacle? What is RSL’s road uniform? Oh it is white, so of course unless it was specifically communicated to the FO that some other arrangements needed to be made (hint the match guide, is not an official communication between teams), could it actually have more to do with the fact that the Galaxy communications person left their job (not sure if fired or quit0 this week? Your list of FO debacles is very entertaining. So wait it is wrong for a coach to hire people they know? Wow, considering that almost every head coach in every sport does this, you may want to call the head of the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, and NCAA. I am sorry, but wow talk about a stretch. I did find it funny that not a single word of the “jerseygate’ could be found in the LA media, no mention on ESPN, or Fox Soccer, nope they all mention the match but not a single one mentioned the result being held up pending some investigation of the alleged incident. I must also say that your reactions to comments if very funny, considering as many of them were simply following your lead, I read two negative comment, and yet you write a huge statement defending yourself. Have you really gone that soft in the two weeks since I left?
Attacking the messenger, so I went looking for the James Edward piece that mentions ‘jerseygate” and the negative comments about it, but I found not a single line or mention of it on any of his stories. Isn’t your reaction to two comments, the very same as your accusing others of doing to you? Or are you the only one allowed to be the voice of truth? Once again, what has happened to you in the last couple weeks? I did not see a single picture of Mr. Posh wearing a jersey in the suite? So not sure what your talking about, for one the blue kit is a great one. I think it looks much better than their white kits, and yes most teams wear their colored jerseys at home and a white version on the road, at least in MLS. I fear that your “conspiracy” is probably nothing more than a simple case of a team going on a road trip, and taking their road jerseys. Displaced blame, so tell me other than you and 30 seconds of mention on the radio (no blame was assigned by the radio coverage), found this to be an issue? Perhaps your critics, simply went to your site for an update on what was a great road win for RSL, to simply once again find you focusing on everything you could find or invent negative, and voicing their opinions. If you can’t handle people questioning your “motives” perhaps you should spend less time questioning others “motives”.
I go back to the “opinion/snuff” piece you offered trying to compare the leadership of Bob Murray to Jason Kreis, if you’re going to put your opinions out there, then you have to have enough spine to deal with the critics that will respond. If not, then you are worse than those you are attacking. See I knew when you would sink to such low personal attacks that your site was no longer a gathering point of information, but rather a site dedicated to serving your personal attacks against RSL. Where were you to defend those who question you on your site, but attacked by others on your site. Either the shoe fits all the time or the shoe doesn’t fit.
